Alexander Nedelkos is a unique blend of drummer, educator, rudimental drummer evangelist, drum show host/producer, physicist & IT/web marketing company owner.
He was a student of Nikos Sidirokastritis, Mark Reilly, Jim Clark, Giorgos Katsikas, Takis Kanellos, Tolis Arsenidis, Fotis Giannopoulos, Spyros Tsoutsis and many more well-known Greek drummers. He has also orchestral percussion training from Konstantinos Vorissis and Dimitris Desyllas. He has also participated in various clinics and masterclasses from prominent drummers from Greece and around the globe.
As a rudimental drummer, he has a unique way of applying rudimental vocabulary on odd meter traditional Greek and Balkan folk music. As a drumset player, he has played with numerous bands and performed at various TV shows, music stages and events in Greece.
Alexander Nedelkos has focused in the last years on rudimental drumming and its awareness in Greece. He is the Greek representative and board member of SIRD (Society of International Rudimental Drummers), interim president of PAS Greece, founder of GRDC (Greek Rudimental Drumming Community) and organizer of the 1st Greek Rudimental Drumming Festival. Alexander is also a NARD (National Association of Rudimental Drummers) and USARD (United States Association of Rudimental Drummers) member.
He is also the host and producer of Woodiments and Rudimental Coffee, drum shows that present interviews of prominent Greek and international drummers.
Alexander has more than 10 years of experience as an educator. He teaches drums at Lab Music Education Organization (where he created the first complete, two-year, rudimental course in Greece) and Drum Mania Institute, both located in Athens.
He is a member of Pulsa Musica Publishing team, founded by Mark Reilly and Geroge Willis, acting as a digital strategist and international drum ambassador. Pulsa Musica Publishing exists to bring significant rudimental drumming compositions to enthusiasts around the world.
